
Dr. Barna is an experienced, Double Board Certified, Harvard Trained, Pain Management Physician with a strong clinical background in Musculoskeletal Care.
He is an Editorial Board Member for Pain Physician, as well as a Reviewer for the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma. He has been recognized on Becker’s Orthopedic and Spine Review List of 150 Pain Management Physicians to Know.
Dr. Barna's Story
Prior to coming to Florida, Dr. Barna spent nearly 10 years at Harvard Medical School including roles as Assistant Professor of Medicine and Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology, as well as Medical Director of the Massachusetts General Hospital Pain Center. He previously served as Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine at University of South Florida College of Medicine.
Dr. Barna also previously served as an Interventional Spine and Pain Physician, as well as Partner at Florida Orthopaedic Institute, the largest multi-specialty Orthopedic group in the state of Florida. He is currently in active clinical practice, providing patient consultation in Tampa and via telehealth throughout Florida.
He is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, North American Spine Society, International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals / International Academy of Life Care Planners Section, and American Academy of Physician Life Care Planners.
